Courses
Texas Concealed
Handgun License Class - 10 hours $99
TX
CQB offers this class for $99, which includes the
application packet required by the State of Texas,
classroom instruction and range time, required
fingerprints and passport photos and all notary work
and help filling out and preparing your application.
If at the end of the class you have a cashier's
check or money order in the amount of $140 payable
to the Texas Department of Public Safety, we can
mail your completed packet for you. Turn-key,
no other stops or hassles.

Concealed Handgun License Renewals - 4 hours $55
This
class is 4 hours of instruction that includes the
range time necessary for renewals. For only $20 more
you can add fingerprints, passport photos and all
notary work as in the complete package -

Basic
Handgun Course - 4 hours $100
This
4-hour course is designed to help new or novice
shooters develop confidence with their handgun.
During the course the student will learn basic
handgun manipulations such as loading, unloading,
sight alignment, sight picture and trigger press.
The student will spend 1 hour in class and the rest
on the range deck, working hands-on with the
instructor. This course is very popular with
couples and female shooters learning to shoot.
Approximately 200 rounds of ammo are needed. |

Defensive
Handgun - 16 hours $300
This
class is designed for both the beginner in the
defensive use of a handgun, and for the experienced
shooter looking for a refresher course. This two-day
class begins at 8am and ends at 4pm. Following a
lecture in the classroom, you'll spend the remainder
of the next two days getting lots of "trigger
time" on the range deck. Approximately 600
rounds are required.
This class
covers the following topics:
- All aspects of range etiquette
and safety.
- Administrative loading and
unloading of the handgun.
- Physical manipulation of the
handgun.
- Explanation of sight
alignment and sight picture (and the difference
between the two).
- Marksmanship and shot
placement. During this class you will work on
empty loads and tactical loads and how they
apply in a gunfight.
- Handgun malfunctions. There are
3 basic malfunctions that can occur in a
handgun, these will be addressed individually
and we will show you one basic manipulation that
will correct each malfunction.

You'll
get plenty of trigger time
in this course.

Moving
drills. |
- How to correctly engage moving
targets, moving targets with the shooter moving
to cover.
- The proper use of cover and how
to shoot from cover.
- Technique and use of a
flashlight while shooting, as most gunfights
occur in low, altered or failing light.
- Team tactics, i.e. defending
your home with your spouse/child/siblings
- Clearing rooms in our shoot
house using tactics and marksmanship learned
here.

Urban
Rifle Course - 2 days (16 hours) $400
This
course is designed for the AR-15/assault-type rifle.
Time will be spent rechecking the zero of the
rifle.You'll learn shooting platforms from prone,
kneeling, speed kneeling, California kneeling and
standing. Drills such as moving while engaging
targets, targets moving, shooting from cover and
using concealment will be conducted. Reloading
techniques, includingboth speed and tactical
reloads, will also be taught. In addition, you'll
take part in cover drills with a partner.
This course is an intense 2 days. |

Vehicle
Defense - 4 hours $100
This
class is also popular with families. Gun handling
skills are taught, but also simple things such as
teaching your children to dismount (exit) the
vehicle carefully, i.e. not stepping out into
traffic, are covered. If you are caught in a bad
situation, we will show you how to maximize your
chance of survival by using your head and
"staying with" your vehicle. If you
spend anytime at all in a motor vehicle, this class
is a must. |
